Once you have used the modified reading assessment to learn about the reading age of your learner who is non-speaking, you can begin to integrate words of an appropriate level into everyday topics and activities.  To get you started, this word list features words that have been gathered from a range of materials such as reading books, stories etc. and loosely  graded in relation to the age of the target audience for those materials.
